Women-led producer enterprise · Jorhat, Assam
Ballsy Group Foundation helped 500 women farmers build capabilities in flower cultivation and processing, organise as Kaveesha Botanica Producer Co. Ltd., establish a processing unit and move toward national market participation.
Project overview
The initiative trained 500 women farmers in flower cultivation and processing across 26 villages in five blocks of Jorhat district.
With funding support from NABARD and technical support from Ballsy Group Foundation, CSIR–NEIST, the Department of Agriculture and the National Medicinal Plants Board, the programme created a practical base for organised production and value addition.
The participating women farmers were brought together through the registration of Kaveesha Botanica Producer Co. Ltd. The FPC has established its own processing unit, while Ballsy Group Foundation continues to extend marketing support toward national market access. The enterprise has also secured bank linkage worth ₹40 lakh through Apex Bank and SBI.

Importance
Membership in a formal producer enterprise can strengthen women's participation in farm, business and investment decisions.
Aggregation helps small producers coordinate cultivation, consolidate output and engage institutions through a stronger shared platform.
An owned processing unit creates the potential to retain more economic value within the producer community.
The FPC structure provides a foundation for governance, banking, compliance, partnerships and long-term business development.
Processing, packaging and marketing support can help producers move beyond raw material sales and access wider markets.
As production grows, the value chain can support work in cultivation, aggregation, processing, packaging and distribution.
Enterprise infrastructure
The FPC's own facility provides a tangible platform for handling, processing, packing and developing a market-facing product portfolio.
Potential for scale
